Here in Cyprus, the television services went over to Digital in 2012 and this freed up many band III and UHF channels for reception from further afield. We are fortunate to be in the middle of a region which has not yet gone over to Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting and during the Summer months in particular it is easy to pick up Band I, Band III and UHF analogue signals from most of our neighbours in particular Israel, Egypt and Jordan. Even viewers with ordinary equipment have no problem picking up these stations.
Up till now I have not had the time to concentrate on this aspect of the DXing hobby but intend in the near future to invest in in equipment and antennas on a rotator for all 3 bands and will post screenshots of my results on this page so keep checking back for updates.
